The big horn sheep, or mountain sheep lives in mountain pastures in the Canadian and American Rockies. It is often found in large flocks. When the autumn mating season approaches, rams of equal horn size engage in butting duels that may last up to 20 hours. Horn spread can be 33 inches; length, 6 feet; weight, 300 2024 pounds.
