This is a gorgeous hand blown Dichroic Mount St. Helens Ash Dichroic glass egg sign MSH 1988. It is a beautiful blue color shifting iridescent oil slick like sheen 2024. It is hand blown, signed and dated. It is made from volcanic ash from the Mt. Saint Helens volcano eruption in Washington state in 1980. The patterns on the surface evoke the eruption and plume. The interior has a bubble centered in a red swirl that reflects the subterranean turmoil beneath the volcano. Both are reminders of the power of the planet to destroy and create anew. The Dichroic glass has many colors depending on the lighting. It is a stunning iridescent piece. This paperweight is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or scratches.
