Artist Biography:
Seiko Obara is a Japanese metalwork artist, native to the city of Fujisawa in Kanagawa Prefecture. She was formally trained in the Crafts and Design Department at Musashino Art University.
Seiko specialises in creating small metallic jewellery and curios. Every piece is delicately handmade by the artist with precision and heart. Like expressing a painter's vision on canvas, each piece of metalwork expresses a distinctive texture, contour and form. Some might say her pieces reminded one of old tools and everyday instruments, but these 'objets d'art' 2024 are abstract depictions of your wild imagination, that will be forever treasured.
