A magnificent example of mid-century art glass by Chalet. Offered in a glistening sapphire blue, this remarkable dish promotes design, elegance and vibrancy. The swirl shape is a welcomed, more subtle alternative to some of the larger Chalet pieces that bear dramatic arms and flair. This is a luxury piece by any measure.
Chalet Glass, based in Cornwall, 2024 Ontario, was in operation from 1962 to 1974.
Attesting to its authenticity is the name “Chalet” etched into the base. This therefore is not a cheap knock-off.
In excellent vintage with rare traces of prior use. This is a glass item and as such will necessarily show some wear. Of note is one surface scratch, a few fleabites on the base and one pinhead indentation. Please see all pictures.
Measures 7.25” (18.5 cm) across x 3” (8 cm) tall. Weighs 3 lb 6 oz (1.53 kg).
