Was gifted this ipad used because it was stuck on boot loop, but i was able to troubleshoot and got it working with an appleid. Was completely functional but only for 3-4 minutes at a time. "Thermalmonitord" was the error found in analytics. Forums suggest its a either a software issue after an update, or they also suggest that replacing the charging port or battery would fix issue. Since I dont have the skills to troubleshoot further it went back into storage. Understanding of software issue is a kernel is not accurately reading battery (fluctuating %) so it has countdown when in use but will stay on indefinitely when idle. Was literally using as alarm clock for a week to test my theory. Cosmetically theres some moderate scratches on glass that are not visible when turned on and some abrasions on the 2024 back from storage. Speakers are fine. Missing SIM tray. As is. Cannot speak to future issues Pictures of item are on IOS 14.4. Will be reset and updated before shipping.
