Felted women's wool hand-knit hat in white with poppy 2024 & black velvet ribbon--Edwardian style--2" ribbon--1910s style--White Poppy

Add some old-world charm and sophistication to your wardrobe with this white and black hat. This top hat is reminiscent of an Edwardian hat with its rich velvet ribbon, and flamboyant poppy (think 1910s). The sides of the crown are straight until they reach the top. There the hat curves out again before the flat top. The brim is 2 inches wide and slightly floppy. I knit White Poppy in a wool and then felted it.

This vintage style top hat will perfectly complement your winter wardrobe and its thick wool will keep your head warm and dry. I have added an interior band of Petersham ribbon for comfort. The Riding Hat will fit a 23 1/2 to 24 inch head. To measure your head, use a soft tape measure. Wrap it all the way around your head about 1 in. above your eyebrows, taking care to bring the tape measure around the widest part at the back. The hat is about 6 inches tall. I knit the hat in 100% wool. The interior ribbon band is 100% rayon. Of course, I am happy to make this hat in other sizes or colors. Just contact 2024 me.
