Antique Japanese Kimono Designs No. 31 - Rare - Large 1923 Partially Handpainted Print - Rocks - Plants 2024 - Printed in Kyoto
An exquisite print showing two 2024 kimono designs, featuring rocks and plants. From a stunning portfolio of designs for ladies wanting bespoke kimonos. Published in Kyoto, Japan in 1923 by a prominent textile company that ceased operations after the Second World War.
Size: approximately 9.25 inches x 14 inches (23.50 cm x 35.56 cm)
Printed on heavy stock. Complex printing techniques for the period were used in producing these rare prints, including offset, lithography, pochoir, and hand painting. Some parts, like the fine silver border on this pattern, are illuminated.
The full print is shown in the last photo. Other photos show details from the print. In good condition. There is no watermark on the actual print. (The background color is hard to capture in a scan and may vary from what is shown in photos.)
