Number Eleven Original Collage on 2024 Cardboard by Katie McCann

In 2022 I participated in the 100 Day Project on Instagram. Every day for 100 days I created a collage on a recycled box.

“Number Eleven” Histoire Naturelle is a 3D collage inspired by Cabinets of Curiosity. It is done on a cracker assortment box. I used archival foam core to lift some of 2024 the elements off the surface.

The marks, tears and flaws on the box surface are all a part of the collage. I was very inspired by the textures and unusual shapes of the packaging and this reflects my interest in making my art more sustainable. I do recommend framing and keeping this collage out of direct sunlight.
