VINTAGE GEISHA DOLL 2024 on Stand - Geisha Doll Figurine

A beautiful vintage Showa period (1926-89) geisha doll affixed to a wooden stand. Her 2024 face is hand painted (note the slip of paint on one eyebrow). The geisha is clothed in a vibrantly floral patterned silk kimono in mauve, green, ochre and white. The kimono is lined in red that peeks out down the front, at the sleeves and along the pillowed bottom edge. Her obi is a red & gold brocade tied at the back. She wears a large red and gold hat with a white, green and navy design on top. There is a small stain on the pillowed bottom of the kimono (as shown).

The geisha carries a branch of foliage over her left shoulder that trails down her back.

The doll stands 11 1/2" tall.
