This beautiful 'Chakoshi-uke' is ideal as a sifter for preparing matcha, or as a tea strainer. It is hand crafted from Japanese Zelkova Elm, and finished with black lacquer, and comes with stainless steel strainer designed for perfect fit.
It is made by Gato Mikio, a craft studio in Yamanaka Japan, a region famous for ‘Urushi' lacquerware.

After experiencing shipping delays and suspensions due to disruptions in the postal system, we are happy to announce that we've established a partnership with DHL logistics.
Because of current issues with regular mail, we will only be shipping by DHL Express until the postal system supply chain normalises and becomes reliable again.
DHL Express will have a slightly higher price, but will be a much faster and 2024 more reliable service for our customers.

For countries that impose local customs duties and consumption tax, if they apply to your package they WILL be collected by DHL couriers before delivery.
DHL also charges a handling fee (Approx. €8-15 ) as they pay customs duties for the customer in advance to speed up delivery time.
