Like all my hats and headpieces, "Ruth" is made from leftover millinery and/or craft supplies and materials. I found this hat with its tag still attached and has never been worn. It is made of camel-colored wool felt and had a glued on feather trim that was heavily damaged; I removed the feathers and hand-sewed on this stylized fabric rosette flower with a stone from a broken necklace in the center, and it also features a wine-colored ostrich feather. This hat will fit up to size 57 cm. (medium) comfortably and features a drawstring to make it tighter. The crown is 5 in./13 cm. tall, and the brim is 3 in./7.5 cm. wide on the sides and 1.5 in./4 cm. wide in the front and back. Perfect for the races, wedding, costume party, church/synagogue/religious ceremony, farmers market, tea party, or any occasion you feel like wearing it! A nice felt hat that will work well for fall and winter!
