One of the hardest domestic species around! Rated at 1580lb.f on the Janka hardness scale, it is well above Hard Maple. These pieces turn an absolutely gorgeous copper orange/golden colour when a finish is applied. With colouring very similar to exotic Pau Rosa, this is the domestic version of an exotic hard to get wood. Perfect piece for smaller woodworking projects or cutting boards etc. We have lots of slabs even bigger than this fresh out of the kiln! & many more..
