2024 596 Blued Ponderosa Pine Bowl You can count each growth ring to the outside of the bowl. The blueing is caused by the pine beetle when it bores into the cambian layed of the tree. This bowl has worm holes and knots.

All of my pieces are handmade one-of-a-kind and made out of reclaimed woods of Eastern Washington State and some exotic woods from around the world.
I try to make heirloom pieces so they can be passed on for generations. I use a clear food safe finish to bring out the natural beauty of the wood. I use a gloss finish with many many coats to give depth. My bowls etc. are NOT dishwasher safe. Just wipe them out with light soap and water then completely dry them and they should last forever.
The defects in the wood (worm holes, cracks, loose knots, etc.) are filled with turquoise ( sometimes bronz or gold) in resin which adds some pizzazz and stabilizes the wood.
All my pieces have a stamp on the bottom in permanent ink with my signature.
The white tags on the bottom lists the kind of wood.
