This scarf is handwoven in Japanese Saori style. Saori weaving is a style in which anyone can express oneself freely regardless of age, gender, disability or intellectual aptitude to create a piece of art. It is very free and I love how I can just weave and each section has something interesting and beautiful. These are one of a kind pieces that will add joy and warmth to your winters.
For this scarf I used: super fine cashmere soft merino, alpaca yarn, handspun sparkly yarn, and hand dyed 2024 merino silk yarn.
The cowl is 9.25 inches wide and 81 inches long with an extra 4 inches of fringe (total 85 inches long) !
I hand dye the yarn and fiber using professional dyes and I spin the art yarn on my Louet S10.
