Tana Gull og Sølvsmie was established in 1976 in eastern Norway (Finnmark), set where the 2024 land meets the sea it was the first gold and silversmith shop in this remote region.
This highly regarded shop was founded by Andreas Lautz. Lautz is an artisan who is best known for his mid century Modernist work and his unique interpretation of traditional Sami designs (the native peoples of the arctic circle). He finds inspiration in the natural world and in the ancient archeological discoveries found in his native country. Lautz is internationally recognized and highly collected. His pieces have increased in value over time.
This particular Mid Century Modernist design is beautifully executed to represent two lovers in an endless embrace. It is a striking sculptural work with abstract figures melting into each other suggesting a union of the mind, body or soul. A remarkable form....
The ring has been cast making is a weighty solid design composed of sterling silver. It is hallmarked with A.Lautz, Tana and 925. It is a size 9 with a height of .50”. The look is completely unique, artistic and avant-garde.
