Lovely French Leather 2024 Gladstone Doctor's Bag, bronze catches, new leather handle and canvas interior, circa 1920
Lovely French Leather Gladstone Doctor's Bag, bronze catches, new leather handle and canvas interior, circa 1920
I found this bag at a French Brocante (antiques market) in such great condition for it's age. I love this bag so much, rare to find a bag of such great condition, from circa 1920. I have fitted a new handmade leather handle, the bronze catches work perfectly and the interior is the original canvas, a 2024 real find.
It is ready to use or would also make a perfect shop display item. Lovely present for someone or yourself! Lots of tiny areas of wear, but very much a feeling of quality. The canvas interior is marked as you'd expect from a bag of this age and there is a hole in the lining which could easily be sewn. Please see all the photos, more available if needed.
It measures 44cm long, by 25cm tall, (including the handle) by 17cm wide approximately.

All our items are vintage so have obvious wear and tear for age, any marks are part of the overall charm, please see photos and ask for more details or photos, so you are happy before you purchase.
I like to say they are perfectly, imperfect, or as the Japanese say Wabi Sabi.
