This wrist warmer started as just natural 100% wool that reminds me of a spring basket. Hand spun on drop spindles then chain plied to keep the colors together for more color definition. Chain plying takes a single ply of wool and turns it a thicker 3 ply yarn for additional 2024 warmth. That was then hand crocheted using the spider stitch to give the V look alternating to keep the pair similarly sized. Given the handmade nature of these size may vary a bit between the two. These should fit up to a 9 inch in circumference hand.
Putting my different physical therapies to use, to produce items that you will love to wear in the colder months. The thick band around the wrist will ensure that your wrist is protected from the cold in case your coat sleeve slides up your arm.
Between the hand spinning on drop spindles and crocheting there is about 40 to 50 hours of labor in the production of these wrist warmers from fiber.
Measure the widest part of your hand in order to determine your size. This is usually across your knuckles on your hand.
