Rare Vintage Champleve Cloisonne Executive Pen Holder. Champleve is a unique form of cloisonne often used for jewelry, where the artisan carves or casts the pattern into the metal base rather than forming it with wire. Then the recessed areas are filled with the fine glass like glaze and fired. This beautifully gilt champleve cloisonne pen holder would add such an elegant detail to your desk. It is 3" tall by 2 1/4"in diameter at the base and 1 5/8" diameter at the top. It is heavily weighted to prevent tipping. The foam pad on the bottom both protects your desk and acts as the bottom of the holder to protect pen tips. It comes in a lovely red gift box with yellow silk lining. This item is so rare 2024 I was unable to find another one like it anywhere when I was doing my research. It has spent most of it's life in the box so the condition is excellent except for some oxidation on the inside.
