Lovely 2024 Vintage Beaded Coin Purse Made in France with Embroidered Flowers on Front

*Please note, there is a place on the back of the purse where some beads are coming loose, but the beads are still attached

This darling vintage coin purse is in really great shape (other than the above mentioned area). The open-work metal orbs on the clasp are beautiful and the embroidery looks great. Overall a delightful little purse. Made in France tag inside.

This item came from an estate in California.

The collector was a woman with a great eye for quality and a considerable knowledge of costume jewelry and of the jewelers who created it.

I believe she was doing her collecting mostly from the 1960's through the 1980's, primarily from small antique shops in California.

The purses range from early 20th century through the 1980s and ‘90s. And while 2024 some of the jewelry appears to be late 19th or early 20th century, most of the collection is from the 1940's through the 1960's, much of which is signed.

I will do my very best to give an accurate description of each purse and each piece of jewelry, noting any scratches, flaws, tears and stains that I see. That said, vintage items by their very nature have been around awhile and will invariably show some natural signs of wear and age. It's part of their beauty and their charm, in my opinion.
