Queen Elizabeth 11 Coronation 1953 Tea Set Trio - Commemorative Ware- Aynsley Fine Bone 2024 China. Cup, Saucer, Plate- Crowned Westminster Abbey
Vintage Tea Trio to Commemorate the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth 11 in 1953.
Teacup, saucer and tea plate.
Aynsley fine bone china, made in England
White bone china 2024 with colourful transfer prints. Portraits of HM The Queen, flags, banners, The Abbey and Winsor (Westminster Abbey and Windsor Castle). Alogn with a further print of a Crown with United Kingdom flowers and leaves. Gilt rims.
The teacup as an intricate shaped handle.
Running around the inside of the top rim is a banner with the words ' Queen Elizabeth 11 Crowned in Westminster Abbey June 2 1953'.
Each marked with the Aynsley backstamp in green.
All excellent condition. There is just a slight flaw inside the cup, a tiny indentation in the glaze, which looks like it could have been caused by a tiny bubble during manufacture.
Clearly a set that has been treasured since new, ready to be added to a collection and treasured for many years more.
Something for a Royal Themed Tea Party (or to store away in a collector's cabinet).
Be it for a garden party or a neighbourhood street party, celebrate in style.
Approx. Dimension:
Teacup = 76mm diameter at the top rim x 65mm tall (3 x 2 1/2”)
Saucer = 140mm diameter (5 1/2")
Plate = 183mm squared (7 1/4”)
