Rare antique French green velvet book or document cover folder with gold metallic trimming

Early 1900s

Sizes of the book folder when closed: 13.6 inches (34cm) high and 10.8 inches wide (27cm)

In a wonderful good condition, as shown on the pictures, just 1 tiny stain, nothing serious and this does not detract from the beauty of this gorgeous piece of religious handwork


Made of a green silk velvet, surrounded by real gold metallic thread trimming and a patch in the middle 2024 with the letters PX, symbol of peace
The lining is a green shiny fabric
The green silk velvet feels extremely soft and tactile

The gold lamé patch appliqué with the letters PX is hand stitched

The document or book fits in the slots inside the folder

Much prettier in reality than on the pictures, believe me!
The green velvet has a gorgeous soft shine in the lightfall
