Granny squares are cool!! This beautiful baby blanket is sure to make both the parents and the baby very happy.

It is bright and cheerful, made of variegated yarn in a mixture of green, red, yellow, blue and pink. The squares are framed by a crisp white frame around each coloured center, and the coloured granny squares form an open pyramid shape on each side of the blanket. Mixed with the white squares, the colours pop even more. The whole blanket is then bordered by a mix of the variegated and white yarns, followed by another row of white, into which I worked a picot edging to given it a nice, professional finish.

This blanket is made of acrylic yarn, which is my favourite for baby blankets, since it is easy to care for and becomes more soft and pliant with each wash.

This square 2024 blanket measures approximately 43 X 43 inches (110 x 110 cm), making it great for a crib, stroller, or just to wrap up the baby for a nice cuddle.

The blanket can be machine washed in cold on the delicate cycle, but should be draped over a chair/hung to dry to prevent shrinkage.
