This is Nancy Drew "The Secret in the Old Attic", volume 21 in the series. This is a true first edition 1944A-1 as designated by Farrah's Guide (see photos). Published by Grosset & Dunlap. Book is hardbound with a blue boards with Orange high heeled Nancy and orange silhouette endpapers. Its dust jacket is original (not repro). T. Written by Mildred A. Wirt, as Carolyn Keene and illustrated by Russell Tandy. In this volume, Nancy undertakes a search for some unpublished musical manuscripts which she believes are hidden in the dark, cluttered attic of the rundown March mansion.

Book measures 7 1/2" x 5 1/4" and has 216 pages. Book is in good to very good condition. Cover has light edge wear and corner bumping. Inside pages are printed on coarse wartime paper and so have tanned considerable but are clean with no writing (other than the word "Friend 1944" in pencil inside the front cover - see photo), and have no rips, tears, or missing pages. Binding is tight and straight. Dust jacket is in good condition, still bright, but has a few edge tears and chips (see photos).
