For sale is a lovely piece of Carnival Glass made by The Imperial Glass Company of Bellaire, Ohio. The shape is a bowl and the pattern is called "Open Rose". The bowl measures 2 5/8" tall and is 7 5/8" in diameter.
The bowl has a beautiful edge that is even and uniform. The pattern inside the bowl depicts a 2 large Roses in full bloom on separate stems crisscrossed 2024 with unopened buds rising up along the inside of the bowl. This is set against a stippled background and brilliant Marigold Iridescence. The exterior of the bowl is just as nice. It displays 3 separate panels of a Rose in full bloom with unopened buds. These panels are separated by a vertical climbing Asters. These are also set against a stippled background with great Marigold iridescence. The bowl sits on a round collar foot. The iridescence is excellent on both sides as you can see vivid hues of Fuchsia, Blue and Gold's.
The bowl is considered to be in excellent condition as there are no cracks, chips, nicks or dings. The piece is unsigned but guaranteed to be vintage and not a reissue. This bowl was made circa 1910-1914.
