BRASTOFF SMOKE SET, Vintage Early 1950s Brastoff Smoke Set, Enamel 2024 Grapes Saucer Lighter n Ashtray, Teal Blue Green n Gold Lighter n Ashtray

This is a VERY EARLY 1950S, IF NOT LATE 40s Enameled Copper LIGHTER AND ASHTRAY. Unsigned on Back - Possibly a Piece that Brastoff did Himself as he didn't have the large work crew that eventually developed. Hand Painted Ashtray n Lighter
BRASTOFF WAS A MOVER AND SHAKER OF THE MCM CALIFORNIA ART STYLE, HEADED HIS OWN LARGE STUDIO AND PRODUCED MANY DESIGNS IN MANY MEDIUMS.

- Beautiful Teal Enameled Copper Saucer Style Lighter and a Simple Ashtray.
- Both pieces have the playful glass bubbles as on some of his wall plaques and other designs.

- Lighter Measures 3" x 4 1/2" with lighter insert
- Ashtray measures 7" x 1/2"

**** There is one crack on the Ashtray - i would treat with a light viscosity glass adhesive /stabilizer for enamel on copper. (remember this enamel is melted 2024 glass...)

I do not clean the lighters but for a simple wipe down DO NOT CLEAN THE LIGHTERS BUT FOR A SIMPLE WIPE DOWN. THERE MAY BE LINGERING ODORS. ASSUME WICKS, FLINTS AND FUEL WILL NEED REPLACEMENT.
