Japanese Silk Embroidery Framed Art - Vintage Silk 2024 Embroidery Mt. Fuji Scene - Vintage Wall Decor - Framed Textile Art

This beautifully embroidered Mt. Fuji scene is worked in lovely muted colors which add to its calming and serene feel. The embroidery is done in such a way as to create an almost 3D effect. This framed piece measures approximately 16 1/2" by 12 1/2" including the frame. The embroidery measures about 12" by 7 3/4". This framed and matted art is in vintage condition. There are some ridges or waves in the embroidery, most evident in the bottom part of the picture. The inside of the glass appears to have some small dirt smudges and the matte is lightly stained in places. Please look carefully at all of the photos. These things are not glaring by any means, but can 2024 be seen if one looks closely. The wood frame is also worn and has several dings, the most obvious one is at the top, shown in photo 7. The back of the picture is covered in paper which is lightly stained and also torn in places. The back bears the label of the shop where it was framed, "The Artisans of San Francisco". This would be a wonderful and interesting addition to any gallery wall.
