Dichroic Glass Pendant AND Pin Sterling Silver Wearable Art Abstract Rainbow Color Cabochons Silver Ingot Metal Mesh Screen Weave Print...... I love the glass in this piece. So Bright & Colorful. Triangles of wonderfully vibrant dichroic fused glass. Like a double rainbow~! I have being seeing double rainbows a lot over the last 3 years. I love them~! This piece is 1.5" x 3". Lots of sterling silver. Pressure rolled ingot, and beaded wire to connect the 2 ingots. This piece of jewelry is very happy... with TWO glorious dichroic nuggets. This pin/pendant was constructed completely by Hayden Brook Studios. USA.

The pieces of silver in the back is made from repurposed scrap sterling. I melted the silver into an "ingot", then pressure rolled the silver nugget into a flat piece of silver. I like to roll the silver in such a way as to draw out the strange shapes. Then I rolled it with a screen to add a fun texture. It is a lot of work, but the shapes are worth it in the end.

A Pin/Pendant can be used as a pin, brooch, or used as a pendant. The bezel is fine silver. The backing is recycled ingot Sterling silver, appx. 2.25" round. The bail is Sterling silver.

At Hayden Brook Studios, we work primarily with dichroic glass. Di-chroic means two colored, or multicolored) . This type of glass transmits light in one wavelength, & reflects light in two other wavelengths. It is common for dichroic glass to appear as 2 or 3 different colors, simultaneously. Dichroic glass is coated with electronically excited metallic particles in a vacuum chamber, at elevated temperatures. In our studio, we start with large sheets of glass which we cut into small pieces. These pieces are specially arranged & melted together in a kiln to form our jewelry.
