This beautifully adorned piece is circa 1950's. The lid of the piece is amazingly adorned with "grass and flowers". Laying in that grass is a detailed cherub that's holding a string of flowers. This cherubs features are very detailed, the eyes, lips, rosy cheeks, down to the toes. There is a light blue drape artistically covering the front of the cherub. The buttocks can be seen. The top is edged along its waves with goldtone. When opened the top of the base also has the goldtone around it. The inside of the base has a lovely floral arrangement in it. This piece stands approx 4-3/8" with the lid on. It stands approx 8-7/8" long, approx 6-1/4" wide and the base is approx 1" deep. This piece is manufactured by either Arnart or Homco. Made in Japan.
