Weeping Cherry

This scoop is hand carved from a fallen branch from our backyard weeping cherry tree. The idea behind this style is to preserve the raw texture of the tree. Since this tree limb was dead, the bark was easy to remove - leaving a beautiful natural texture behind to contrast the smoothness of the bowl and handle. The vibrant grain colors range from deep orange to red, brown and hints of black and 2024 gray.

Finish: Each piece is treated with a blend of walnut oil/beeswax, with a finish application of wood butter – (walnut oil/beeswax)
