This shirt is all about Pig pride as it reclaims the derogatory term given to police. Over the years, lots of cops and law enforcement have taken the name "pig" and given it the acronym Pride, Integrity, and Guts. The motto is emblazoned pins, stickers, magnets, and t-shirts like this one.
The term "pig" was most notably used in the 60s amongst anti-war protestors and the Black Panther Party when referring to their unpleasant interactions with the fuzz- although the term can be dated way further back. Simply put, the term "pig" has always been used in conjunction with describing unpleasant people.
As history has 2024 proven time and time again, many slurs and derogatory names given to a group will eventually be reclaimed by said group, redefined, and embraced.
