The Original Of This Engraving Appeared In " The Book Of Baskets And Vases Of Flowers" by Tessier

Louis Tessier Was The Eminent Botanical Artist Of His Time ( 1719 - 1781) In France And He Was The " Flower Painter To The King"

This Engraving Is Antique, And Marvelous. Richly Hand Colored And The Details Are Very Sharp & Distinct. I Originally Thought It Was An Original Work Of Art, It Is So Finely Done. In Person You Can Appreciate The Quality, I'm Not Certain My Camera Does It Justice

A Beautifully Arranged Bouquet Of The Coveted Flowers Of The Time, Artfully Arranged In A Tall Basket.

Excellent Antique Condition With NOTE Of Some Scratches & Gouges To The Gold Wooden Frame, See Close Ups.

Backing Paper Intact With A Few Tears, See Photo, And Original Framers Label Which I Believe Dates To 1910 - 1920 ( J H Miller Started In The Framing Business In 1890). The Etching May Very Well Be Earlier, I Cannot Say For Certain.
