2024 This wonderful English vintage brown transferware dinner plate has the most incredible color and is really nice to look at to take in all of the many little details the artist included. The name of this plate is from the "Dickens Series" and it reads on the back: "Genuine Hand Engraving acid and detergent proof, Made by English Ironstone Tableware, Limited, England". The brown color of this English transferware dinner plate is set against a white background which really allows the little story to be told in vivid detail. We see in the center of the plate a carraige drawn by 4 horses and people exiting a stage coach. The setting is in a English town with pointed hatched roof buildings, smoke coming from chimneys, dirt coming up from the horses legs and the wonderful clouds in the sky. There is even a dog in the foreground watching or barking at all the activity. One can almost hear the horn of the man on the coach and the barking dog as two small boys struggle to carry the large suitcases.

The boarder of this vintage brown English ironstone plate is a gorgeous cornicopia of flowers, leaves and decorative scrolls. There are shaddows and just a wonderful sense of detail. This plate is in perfect condition, with absolutely no chips or cracks. Packed and ready to ship in 1-2 days.
