10.75 " Alder Bowl 2024 #412

This bowl was finished November of 2021. The wood was salvaged from a local botanic garden in 2011.
It was rough turned in 2011 also, and allowed to dry and stabilize. 2024 Once the wood was dry, it was sealed and set aside. The rough turned bowl caught my eye in 2021 and I finished turned it. Alder has a very distinct fleck or short lines embedded in the wood. This piece was finished with Walnut Oil and has a final coating of a hard Carnauba wax.
