This set consists of a padded blanket, two crib or pram sheets (one top and one bottom), 2024 a hat, a pair of shoes and mittens for a super pampered children. It vaguely recalls the superlative style of the Andean works.
The cover is made up of two layers plus padding: one side is in a wool and mohair blend in various shades of warm beige, knitted by my mom for my daughter a long time ago, and embroidered in perlé cotton in various colors. The other side is in pure beige natural linen, which is also very warm, a remnant of one of my tablecloths; finally the padding, lined in cotton, is in pure sheep's wool obtained from an antique cushion. The quilted effect is given by the application of colored wooden buttons, a single piece purchased which, however, I was able to use for 4 different projects.
The hat, the shoes and the mittens (size 3-6 months) are worked with the same wool left over from the cover and decorated with crochet braids with the same balls of perlé cotton used by my mother. The whole is accompanied by a complete pram or cot consisting of a hand-embroidered top sheet, pillowcase and a bottom sheet that was given to me years ago for the birth of my son.
Everything is placed inside a recycled cardboard box with a textured and painted effect, closed and decorated with ropes of several colors. It took me more than 12 hours to make the entire set, using only recycled materials or leftovers from other works.
