Not so long ago a friend took me to a non-profit establishment called The Arc in Danville, Virginia.
where they only hire handicapped people, among whom are some excellent quilters. I was so enthralled with what I saw that I had a number of my Afghan and Indian textiles upgraded and made into quilts the old fashioned way that is backed, batted, tacked and tied. See the image of the stretcher at The Arc where all this happens with nibble fingers. All handwork. The results were even better than expected. So it is with great pride and joy that I list this heirloom. Which by the way is in mint condition with no issues.

Colors: yellow field and lilac(light purple)backing with all the colors of the rainbow
Material: all cotton. Nonetheless, dry clean only due to the applique work

With the On The Farm motif, it is 2024 ideal for a small child's room as a bedspread or comforter. The original textile is from Gujarat, India and is also hand work all the way.
