Beautiful antique holy water 2024 font in blue velvet French crucifix with intricate metalwork 17.9 inches

A beautiful, large antique French crucifix found in Bordeaux and dating to the late 19th century. Made from wood, the cross is covered in blue velvet. It has superb metalwork including motifs of lilies. A French treasure. Please read the full description below and view each of the photos to see the condition in full.

Stands approximately 7.5 cm from the wall (2.9 inches)

In good condition for its great age, some surface wear to the velvet. A fixing pin missing from Christ's left hand. The water font at the base moves slightly.
