Lot nr 546 old antique bone carved 2024 amulet Borneo Indonesia Melanau fishermen

2024 Rare traditional amulet carved in bone, as used by Melanau fishermen in the second half of the 19th
century in North Borneo. Possibly used as a handle of a knife or other tool (see photo bottom). Similar
figures with a snake on the head can also be found in the Dayak culture.
