Green Dragon is an OverDrive pedal that is based closely on the famous Tube Screamer 808 circuit with a few mods. If you know about the Tube Screamer 808 I'm not going to go into detail about it here except to say that I used a JRC4558 chip and a W taper pot for the tone control. Instead I'll tell you about the mods I did to the circuit. The first thing I did was to add a clipping switch that can switch between Almost Clean, Stock Clipping, and Asymmetric clipping. This gives it some more versatility in the Drive function. NOTE: This pedal will be much louder in the Almost Clean setting. Next I added a Bass control knob (labelled B) that adds Bass when turned clockwise and removes it in counter clockwise. The bass knob is actually modelled from the bass control on the Timmy overdrive and it plays really well with the Tone control. Next I swapped a resistor value out to give the drive a little more saturation which is based on a Keeley TS mod. Then I removed the buffered bypass to make it a true bypass pedal. This thing is pretty sick. Besides the controls mentioned there are the usual Vol, Gain, and Tone controls.
