I used stainless steel to wire wrap the stone. Stainless steel is by far the best jewelry metal. It tarnishes slower than silver, is stronger than gold, and doesn't turn your skin green like copper.

Q: Why is the price so low?
A: Long story short, inclusions. Gem price is highly dependent on clarity.
Here is an example of a certified sapphire with a lot of inclusions that's as big as a cupcake but instead of being worth millions, it's under $500. Because of all the inclusions.
